It Doesn't Take Much

It doesn't take much to care. It certainly doesn't take much to share.
So much of what we do everyday is about ourselves, how we feel or what we want - it doesn't take much to think of someone else for a change, what they need, how they feel and how we can help.

The Ashoka Tree is proud to work with Seetha Kingston House Matriculation Higher Secondary School in our anganwadis in Chennai as part of their Centenary of DRBCC Charities work.

​Thank you to all the staff and children who took time off to spend time with our children, spreading more smiles!

Chennai’s floods have taught us a lot.   While it’s reminded us, in developing countries especially, that there’s a reason cities are planned a certain way and that nature or climate change is not something you can ever take lightly, its also taught us a whole load of other lessons. A Crayon in Time

Every crayon saved is a crayon shared. The team at Stepping Stones, Global Public School, Kochi  has sure given us a lot to smile about this time of the year. Every leftover crayon, every eraser, every notebook and every pencil was saved and shared. This helped The Ashoka Tree make some pretty neat stationery kits for over a 100 children in Wynad, North Kerala. You've Spread More Smiles.

Let Them Play

I am in Preschool. I am not built to sit still, keep my hands to myself, be quiet or be patient all of the time. I need laughter, fun, adventure, something new to keep me engaged. Give me time and space - freedom from rules and structure. Let me play! At The Ashoka Tree, we believe play is a child's most natural form of expression. Let them play.
